Arrival/Dismissal Guidelines

Grace Christian Academy is accredited though the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

ARRIVAL: Students must arrive on campus no later than 8:20 a.m.

All Elementary & Secondary students will be dropped off at the front school entrance.
Students who arrive after 8:30 a.m. must go to the office to receive a tardy pass.
Students who arrive at any time before 8:00 a.m. will automatically be placed in the Extended School Day program at a cost of $2.00 per hour.

NOTE: Preschool entrance is through the rear steps on the north driveway (behind the playground). Parents must walk preschool students to the classroom and sign them in before leaving.

Parents whose children walk to school or ride bicycles should advise the office of this fact. Parents should advise the school office by phone when their children will be late or absent. Any student not in the classroom by 8:30 a.m. will be marked tardy regardless of the excuse.

DEPARTURE: Students in K5 through 5th are assembled by grade in the south parking lot (front of school). Cars should enter the north entrance only, drive around the parking lot, and line up. School personnel will walk elementary students to the car. Students in grades 7-12 are picked up on the east lawn (the lawn between the church building and the school building).

In order to expedite the pick-up process, drivers for students in grades K5 through 5th must display the family name in bold letters on a piece of light colored, stiff cardboard in the passenger side window so that school personnel can properly identify your child’s ride. If anyone other than the usual driver is picking up the student, please advise the office in advance with a written note or a phone call.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If it is necessary for the driver to get out the vehicle for any reason, please pull into a designated parking space so as to keep from hindering the smooth flow of traffic. PLEASE DO NOT EXIT YOUR CAR WHILE IT IS IN THE PICK-UP LINE.
